uniform or outfit, shoes and/or a toy to all children attending selected elementary schools in the valley. Over 1,000 children and their families are impacted.

Kohl's Childspree

Partnering with Kohl's and Rotary International, children from low-income families are provided with a back-to-school shopping spree, which includes new backpacks and up to $100.00 worth of new clothes and shoes to start their school year. Volunteers take children shopping one Saturday morning and help get their school year off to a confident start brimming of self-esteem.

Home At Last program

In coordination with shelters located throughout the valley, The Salvation
Army provides assistance to individuals and families who graduate from a transitional housing through our “Home At Last” program made possible by a grant from the Siebel Foundation. Each graduate must meet requirements and receives deposit, first and last month’s rent, making possible the opportunity for a positive and healthy re-integration to society

Thanksgiving & Christmas Dinners

Gourmet holiday meals complete with all trimmings are prepared by a local chef and served hot and free. Any member of the public may attend. Festivities include local entertainment, public officials and fellowship with other community members. Hot meals are also taken directly to the homebound and homeless.

Red Kettle Campaign

For over 100 years, The Salvation Army Red Kettles have been a holiday tradition. The Campaign collects money to support the many services and programs for those in need in the community. The Salvation Army provides for families and individuals with food, clothing, shelter, new toys and other assistance during the holiday season and throughout the year.

Christmas Angel Tree Campaign

Gives individuals and partnering corporations an opportunity to adopt angels (less fortunate children, seniors and disabled adults) and provide personalized gifts and necessities to those who would otherwise receive very little or nothing during the holiday season. The Salvation Army invites donors to participate in the distribution of gifts. Each family receives gifts, which includes toys, clothes and shoes, and a food box with all the trimmings for a wonderful Christmas
meal.
